What Frigo processes
Frigo is a household food inventory app. Depending on how you use the app, Frigo may process:
- Account details such as name and email address.
- Household and inventory data, including item names, quantities, locations, and expiry dates.
- Shopping list, reminder, recipe, household invite, and household membership data.
- Receipt images and extracted receipt text when you choose to use receipt import.
- Barcode and product lookup data when you scan, search for, or save products.
- Device push notification tokens when you enable expiry reminders.
- Diagnostics and crash data when crash reporting is enabled for the app version you use.
Why the data is used
Frigo uses data to operate the core product, including:
- Authenticating users and connecting them to their households.
- Saving and syncing shared food inventory across devices.
- Providing barcode, receipt, reminder, and recipe-related features.
- Sending expiry reminder notifications when you enable them.
- Improving app quality, stability, and support.
Infrastructure and service providers
Frigo uses service providers where needed to run the app:
- Supabase for authentication, database storage, edge functions, and account-related data.
- Apple Push Notification service and Expo notification tooling for reminder delivery.
- Sentry for crash reporting and diagnostics when enabled.
- Vercel for hosting Frigo web pages and support surfaces.
- Resend or email infrastructure for feedback and support messages when you contact us.
- Product and barcode lookup sources used to help identify scanned products.
Device permissions
Frigo asks for camera access only when you use scanning features such as barcode, expiry date, or receipt capture. Notification permission is used for expiry reminders. You can change these permissions in your device settings.
User control
Users can manage account-related actions inside the app, including sign-out and account deletion. Notification permissions are controlled on the device.
